About Navbharat

Connecting Generations Through Culture and Values

Navbharat is a vibrant sociocultural organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Indian culture and heritage among the younger generation. Rooted in the timeless spirit of "Unity in Diversity," we bring together Indians from diverse linguistic and regional backgrounds under one harmonious roof. While our members speak many languages, Hindi serves as our common thread of communication, fostering connection and understanding.

Navbharat's Five Regional Branches

Navbharat proudly comprises five regional branches, each representing the rich tapestry of India:

  • Navbharat Kerala
  • Navbharat Tamil
  • Navbharat Kannada
  • Navbharat Telugu
  • Navbharat Bharat – representing Hindi speaking members from Maharashtra to Kashmir, and Assam to Gujarat

Celebrating India's Festive Spirit

We believe that culture comes alive through celebration. All major Indian festivals—including Holi, Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dandiya, Onam, Vishu, Pongal/Makar Sankranti, Lohri, Bihu, and many more—are celebrated collectively, reflecting the true essence of India's cultural richness.

Nurturing the Next Generation

Children are at the heart of Navbharat's mission. Through the Navbharat Yoga Gurukulam, we impart:

  • Yoga and meditation
  • Prarthana (prayers) and Sanskrit
  • Timeless values from scriptures including the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam, and Puranas

The Navbharat Gurukul also nurtures traditional arts such as Mridangam, Violin, acting, and shloka chanting. To further strengthen our cultural mission, we conduct Yoga Teacher Training programs and have established academic collaborations with two premier Indian universities:

  1. SVYASA (Bengaluru)
  2. Sanskrit Viswa Vidyalaya (Varanasi)

The Backbone: Navbharat Ladies Association

Behind every successful initiative stands the Navbharat Ladies Association—the dedicated backbone of our organization, ensuring smooth and impactful execution of all programs.

What is Navbharat?

Navbharat is more than an organization; it is a Mini India in Bahrain—a united cultural family preserving roots, celebrating diversity, and shaping a culturally awakened generation.
